Note: The information on the 'Thiru Nakshatra' which is the Janma Nakshatra of divine beings is as accurate as possible. There were some cases where more than one Nakshatras were referenced but have taken the most authentic one. For some historical names like Nimbarkacharya, Purandaradasa, Mahatvar Babaji, Mirabai, Shirdi Saibaba etc the year of birth itself appeared to have skepticisms and hence their names have not been recorded in the above list. Information on Tithi follows the Amanta tradition where a lunar month runs from Shukla Paksha Pratama and culminates in Ammavasya unless specifically mentioned as Pournimanta wherein which a month begins at Krishna Paksha Pratama and concludes in Pournima.
From some of the prominent names listed above, documenting additional information on 3 sets of Trinities consisting of the 3 well known philosophers of the Vedanta Tradition, the 3 musical saints who exhibited their devotion in full force through their outstanding compositions in deference of the higher beings and the Holy Trinity whose collective philosophy rested on the four foundational pillars.
Philosophers of Vedanta Tradition
The 3 main philosophers happen to be Adi Shankaracharya, Ramanujacharya and Madhavacharya. They all lived during different time periods and belonged to the Southern states of Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka respectively. They all had different ideologies but the shared link happens to be their common thesis of spirituality, devotion and praise of the Lord. Adi Shankaracharya propagated Advaita Vedanta or absolute non duality meaning the individual soul and ultimate reality are both one and the same. Ramanujacharya's philosophy was Vishishtadvaita Vedanta or qualified non duality advocating that the the relationship between God and individuals is like that of a soul and body. It was described like a Part and Whole relationship with the Lord being the 'whole' and devotee being a 'part' of that 'whole'. Madhavacharya on the other hand practiced Dvaita Vedanta translating to God and the Devotee being completely separate and distinct realities. His standpoint was that God was from a higher reality and perfect whereas the individual taking birth is imperfect and the way to reach the Lord is through service and prayers. The birth detail of Ramanujacharya has already been touched underneath the section of the Alvars. The birth tithi and month of both Adi Shankaracharya and Ramanujachacharya are said to be one and the same. Madhavacharya was said to be born on the auspicious day of Vijaya Dasami or Dussehra. Lets document the birth details of these 3 great philosophers.
